eLearning at simpleshow means making learning content tangible. Our "interactives"  combine video, texts and graphics with user-engaging tasks. As a Front-End Web Developer, you work with our creative team to combine the art of instructional design with the art of programming. To do this, you will be responsible for the translation of UI/UX design storyboards into eLearning modules, using our own proprietary JavaScript framework. 

Tasks

  • Develop engaging eLearning modules utilizing current web technologies.
  • Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs and interaction ideas.
  • Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability.
  • Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders.
  • Testing and troubleshooting eLearning modules inside and outside of LMS (learning management system).

Skills and Qualifications

  • Proficient understanding of web markup, including HTML5, CSS3.
  • Proficient understanding of client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks, including jQuery and jQuery UI.
  • Proficient understanding of web media technologies (video and audio).
  • Proficient understanding of CSS pre-processing platforms, such as LESS and SASS.
  • Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them.
  • Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git.
  • Basic knowledge of Photoshop to be able to crop, resize, or perform small adjustments on an image as well as Adobe Illustrator to vectorize image assets.
  • Basic knowledge of the eLearning world, learning management systems, and the SCORM API is a definite plus, but not required.
  • Based in the Asia-Pacific region, or willing to adjust your working hours to collaborate with our team and clients there.
